The building process
Before construction starts, lenders need a fixed-price building contract, council-approved plans and builder’s insurance. We help you get the paperwork in order early so the valuation and approval don’t hold up your start date.
Construction Loans
Construction loans release funds in stages as your build progresses, and you pay interest only on what has been drawn. From the land purchase to handover, we work with your builder and lender so each payment lands on time.
What you need to know
Before construction starts, lenders need a fixed-price building contract, council-approved plans and builder’s insurance. We help you get the paperwork in order early so the valuation and approval don’t hold up your start date.
Funds are typically released at five stages: slab, frame, lock-up, fixing and completion. Each stage is invoiced by your builder and checked by the lender before payment. We coordinate the claims so your builder is paid promptly.
Buying land and building can mean two contracts, two settlements and a period of paying interest before you can live in the home. We structure the finance so the land loan and the construction loan fit together and your cash flow stays manageable.
